So some videoage today…
Firstly my most beloved material possession in action. You can’t quite get the full joy of it on video, and I do need to vacuum my speaker (not often you hear that). And then my happy winter message, in which I look oddly green…
So we went sarf. To the mouth of the port, well almost. To a small island off the mouth, where nothing bigger than a ferry docks. Which is probably a bit of a let down if ships are your thang.
The video is ‘There and Back: the highlights’ (or lowlights depending on your view). It might seem a bit odd to go all that way and show some motorways, but on proportion more awake time was spent on a road than anywhere else, so it seems right.
Points for anyone able to name all the background soundtrack…

I decided that this week I was going to do a video of my world. I sort of have, but with a few missing continents. If I actually filmed what I did this week mahoosive chunks of it would have involved; me staring at a tiny computer and trying to think, being distracted from thinking by listening to Radio Four podcasts, eating, sleeping, accumulating enough bits of newspaper to run my own newsagents*, eating Brie, swearing at my phone, and cat annoyance. This was going to be another video. The technical hitch this time is that my ‘office’ has been taken over by the build of a new Media Centre PC*. I did actually film something, but since it was about my DVD collection it was in fact dull as the proverbial. Actually it was duller, dishwater would have been enigmatically fascinating. I and my DVDs were not. Plus it made, my face ache. I don’t know why. I honestly don’t. I wasn’t gurning with embarrassment (although I probably should have been).
I’ve had to use YouTube this time, and thus it might only let 25 views happen. If it does behave awkward, and you do want to see itlet me know; though bare in mind the title y’know there’s no nudity or anything salacious (unless badly stored books do it for you).
EDIT: I’ve put it on public but will switch it back off again towards the end of next week, I’m not a massive fan of youtube but until I work out why Cinocopa is making the sound go weird I’m stuck with this.
EDIT 2: It’s now on private but if you urgently desire to see my book collection in all its untidy glory email me, or leave a comment here.

The quality isn’t great, but I’ve now found my other three cameras that will hopefully be better. The quality of the presentation, ah well that isn’t quite so easily solved with a better camera.
Oh and I don’t know why it’s selected the least flattering image to freeze on, clearly a plugin with a sense of humour.
