“I don’t think there’s a punch-line scheduled, is there?”
In these immense gaps between posts, which are mostly borne out of it being a complete pain in the bum to type a wordpress post on a teeny tiny laptop, I’ve had to entertain myself otherwise.
So I’ve actually been doing stuff, like productive and everything. Take a moment to sit yourself down after that. Must be a bit of a shock.
Mostly what I’ve been doing is stuff related to the performance non-profit which I’m involved with . I’m not going into massive detail about Steps itself because I’m hoping that someone else will soon be doing a considerably better written account, and you’ll have to read that.* That aside I have written a proposal and project plan for my newly developed role in the organisation, and I’m supremely excited. So excited that I can’t type correctly and Firefox just added many red lines.*
Its a lot of not entirely paid (ie not until we get proper funding) work, but it is all good stuff. And best of all I get to indulge my properly weird theatrical visions (which is one of the gazillion reasons I don’t fare well on stage, much performance is a bit Kitchen-sink for me) because our ethos/starting point for my project side is surrealist/absurdist. Can we all say yay for giant teeth and dressing like dolphins*?
If on the off chance anyone does own something utterly surreal that they don’t want any more and are keen to donate to a worthy cause (boss has slightly unhealthy obsession with getting a giant hypodermic at the moment-so one of those if you have one knocking about fab) let me know please!
*And you will, if not only because aforementioned someone is a supremely talented writer, and is like a latter day Renate Muller but because if you don’t I shall turn up at your house and sing the one and only song I know all the lyrics to. Over and over and over.

Mmm I know, but SFTF doesn’t exactly trip off the tongue and sounds sort of as though it should be some kind of star Trek spin off.
